We, as modern people, increasingly make use of our ratio. We feel superior to the animal life. The importance of our body and our body language diminishes; we are our brain. Aren't we? Can we find the connection with our body again? Can we learn from animal life? And how can we better understand the importance of our body language like animals do? CALM DOWN HUMAN is a work that focuses on people and their behaviour. Through research on movement and by studying people's body language, portable installations have been created that enhance non-verbal communication. An animal like appearance with colors that change through the actions of the body, situated in an abstract space, gives a preview of a world in which man communicates more physically and is in contact with its body.
CITY SUITS
City suits is a work that explores the relationship between humans, nature, our own nature and our surroundings, as well as the things we create and collect within these surroundings. Despite living in cities and having plenty of material possessions, we often overlook the things we create, the sheer volume of our creations and what already exists around us. Through the City Suits series, we examine our identities as our human creators and collectors. Rather than constantly seeking out new materials from faraway places, we question why we cant find what we need within our own cities. Each suit in the series is made from locally sourced materials, collected from the city.
